UMBRIA: Sausages Ragu’ with Viaggio Bowties

INGREDIENTS:
· Viaggio Crushed Tomatoes 1 can – 28 oz.
· Viaggio Bowties -1 bag – 1 lb.
· ½ cup Mantuano Extra Virgin Olive Oil Unfiltered
· 3 Sausages of your choice (peel skin before cooking)
· 4 garlic cloves
· ½ cup diced onion
· ½ cup of Viaggio Parmesan Cheese
· ½ cup parley
· A pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS:
Begin by bringing a large pot of water to boil and cooking the Viaggio Bowtie pasta according to the package directions.
In a separate large pan, add Mantuano Olive Oil, 4 cloves of garlic, and 3 sausages. Cook over medium heat while crumbling the sausage with a wooden spoon. After about 5 minutes, add the onions and a pinch of salt. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes or until the onions are golden and caramelized. Then add the Viaggio Crushed Tomatoes. Stir and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes over medium heat.
Drain the Viaggio Bowtie pasta and toss them into the saucepan, adding Viaggio Parmesan Cheese and parsley. Mix everything together and serve.
