LOMBARDY - ITALIAN RED SAUCE

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Superpomodoro tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • A few fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup Viaggio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Viaggio Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic cloves and cook until they turn golden.
  3. Stir in the Superpomodoro tomatoes and basil leaves.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer for up to 15 minutes.
  5. Gently crush the tomatoes with a fork or by stirring.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
