Sausage in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 10 oz sausage, cut into 2–3 inch pieces
- 1 lb Viaggio Italian peeled tomatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Viaggio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 5–6 minutes, until soft and lightly browned.
- Add the sausage pieces to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until they are browned on all sides.
- Pour in the Viaggio Italian peeled tomatoes. Use a spoon to break them up slightly. Season with salt to taste.
- Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the sausage to cook through.
- Serve hot, ideally with crusty bread or over pasta.
