LAZIO - Bruschette ai peperoni

Roasted Pepper & Cream Cheese Bruschetta

Servings: 6–8 (as an appetizer)

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lb rustic bread (such as Italian or sourdough)
  • 3 Viaggio red roasted peppers
  • Cream cheese, to taste
  • 1–2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Viaggio extra virgin olive oil, to taste
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the roasted red peppers into thin strips and place them in a bowl. Add chopped garlic and basil. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and black pepper, and toss to combine.
  2. Slice the bread into thin pieces. Grill the slices on a barbecue or toast them in a hot oven until golden and crisp on both sides.
  3. Arrange the toasted bread on a serving platter. Spread each slice with a thin layer of cream cheese (optional), then top with the marinated pepper mixture.
  4. Drizzle with a little more olive oil if desired and serve immediately.


A simple and flavorful appetizer perfect for any gathering!
