APULIA - Taralli pugliesi
Viaggio flour 1.2lb
7oz dry white wine
4oz Viaggio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ oz salt
To prepare the taralli start kneading the ingredients in a bowl. Pour inside the Viaggio flour, salt and Viaggio Extra Virgin Olive Oil and mix till obtaining a crumbled dough. Now add the wine, mix everything together and transfer the mixture on a work surface, kneading for about 10 minutes. After this time, create small balls dough and shape them with your fingertips creating taralli. Meanwhile, boil a pot of water. Once shaped, place the taralli on a tray lined with parchment paper. When the water is boiling dip taralli into boiling water and as soon as they rise to the surface they are ready to be drained on a tray lined with a clean cloth. Transfer taralli on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in preheated oven at 375F for about 40 minutes.
